The Persona Monitor contraceptive system is based on a hand-held monitor which uses built-in data from thousands of women, plus chemical information you give it yourself by inserting your own urine test sticks eight days a month.

The Persona test sticks collect hormones from your urine and convert them into a form which can be read by the Persona Monitor.

The Persona Contraception Monitor reads, stores and uses the information to tell you on which days you have the freedom to make love without using contraceptives. It must be noted that the Persona system offers no protecion against any type of disease or infections.

However Persona is a totally natural contraception method and therefore has no effect on the body whatsoever.

It is approximately 94% effective. A monthly test stick pack is required which is available seperately, ( the first pack is included with the monitor).

Persona is only suitable for women who have regular cycles, Persona is not suitable if...
-your menstrual cycle is shorter than 23 days
-your menstrual cycle is longer than 35 days
-you have experienced any symptoms of the menopause
-you are breast feeding
-you are taking hormonal treatments such as
- hormonal contraception
- fertility treatments
- hormone replacement therapy
-you are using any other treatment or mediaction which may affect your menstrual cycle
-you are currently taking antibiotics containing tetracyclines. If you have any doubts about whether the antibiotic you are taking contains tetracyclines, you should consult your pharmacist or doctor.
-you have impaired liver or kidney function or polycystic ovarian syndrome
-you are unable to accept the risk of pregnancy associated with the use of persona.
