How To Use
1. Before use, always wash the Pelvic Floor Educator in warm soapy water, rinse and dry thoroughly

2. Attach the indicator wand to the body of the Pelvic Floor Educator

3. Sit comfortably on the edge of a chair or toilet, or lay on the bed with your head and upper body supported by pillows with your knees raised and apart

4. Insert the Pelvic Floor Educator body gently into the vagina, rather like inserting a tampon

5. You may wish to use a lubricant

6. Once the Pelvic Floor Educator is comfortably in position, the indicator wand should be clearly visible in front of you

7. You can now pull up the pelvic floor muscles. The easiest way to do this is to pull in the very lowest stomach muscles, just above the pelvis and then tighten the muscles around the back passage. While doing this the pelvic floor muscles will tighten

8. If you are pulling up the pelvic floor muscles in the right way you will notice that the tip of the indicator wand will move downwards, towards the floor. You may also notice that the indicator wand may also move slightly to one side or the other, this is perfectly normal, it just shows that one side of the muscles may be stronger than the other

9. If you are bearing down as if you were emptying your bowels, the tip of the indicator wand will move upwards towards your stomach

10. Once you are confident that you are contracting correctly, practice holding a contraction for two to three seconds and then relax slowly. You can use the Pelvic Floor Educator to practice making these contractions stronger and longer
